The Message thru the Glass

The Message thru the Glass

Her eyes aren’t what they used to be.
The vision seems to fade.
Her hair has turned white,
Memories of her youth, now she’d love to trade.

The joints just don’t work.
As getting out of the chair she must try.
Memories of her long gone husband.
Sometimes makes her cry.

The whirlwind of the grandkids,
On a visit, at first, is exciting and grand,
But soon these, new fangled electronics and games,
Loses her, in a world she now doesn’t understand.

But the one thing she does know,
Is the certainity of God’s unchanging word.
She studies God’s beginnings…and His glory,
Bringing her peace, understanding, and a heart reassured.

This is a testimony to what I believe. That God created the heavens and the earth. The more I learn and understand, even from a scientific standpoint, the more I believe the Bible is completely true. This painting was placed in a show "Artfest, 2011" at Grace Community Church in Bartlesville Oklahoma,

Size: 15" x 20" Acrylic, Gallery wrap with edges painted black,  Ready to hang.

Changing Times
The trusty old typewriter sits silently on the table. It’s patiently waiting for its owner; much as a dog anxiously waits for it master. Both are waiting…quietly thinking to themselves, “Hey, won’t you come play with me? Please! I’m so lonesome.”

When they were together, the owner probably had work that had to be done, but for the typewriter, the tapping on the keys, the thud of the space bar, and the musical “ding” at the end of the line was fun!  The typewriter hasn’t figured out that it truly is the “end of the line” for machines like him. Their kind have been cruelly replaced by super fast computers. The times have changed! The owner can do the same work faster, he can communicate instantly with others, he can play games, listen to music and watch movies. He does all this with a click of a mouse! Time flies so fast and the only constant is change.

Size: 12” x 10” x 3/4” Gallery Wrap with black painted edges. This is an original hand painted acrylic on hand-stretched canvas over hand-built repurposed wood stretcher bars. The canvas is primed with two or more coats of gesso. Sealed with two or more coats of UV resistant varnish. Ready to hang.
